Around the Clock Shower...

What a FUN night!!! Sorry for some of the blurry pictures. I think my camera settings were off on some...or I jiggled! :)

Showered with LOVE!

What a beautiful shower Jeanne had for Amy! The theme was "Around the Clock" which seems appropriate since Brian and Amy had some of their first pictures taken "around the clock" in our neighborhood! Some had a hard time figuring out what that meant, but each person invited received a "time" and they were to select a gift that Amy could use at the time they were assigned. So...I had 6:00 AM and a small grouping of gifts. I gave Amy a small purse sized Bible to start her day with...then she opened my next gift which were some "jammies" (that's all you get to hear about THAT gift till LATER Brian!), then a shower curtain and towels. So...all things she could use around 6:00 AM! Grandma had noon so she got her a cake pan and the salt and pepper mill they registered for. Barb had 2:00 PM and she got her a beautiful teapot with 2 cups and saucers. Sandy had 10:00 PM...and you won't know what she got her! (but it's RED and it came in a pink and black box!!) : ) Ally had 8:00 AM so she made the cute towel cake you see in the photos and gave her another beautiful "jammie" outfit! I'm not sure what time Jeanne had, but she gave her an assortment of really fun things including a set of 6 placemats and a rooster plate so it must have been around dinnertime! Leah had 5 PM and she got her a cutting board and an electric knife. Then there was Patti...she had sometime late night and Brian...all I can say is I hope you like black lace and chocolate! LOL! Anyhow...we had a wonderful time...everything was beautiful and we ate so much great food for dinner. A very intimate group of good friends and family! Thank you Jeanne for hosting such a wonderful night for Amy! See you all in less than 252 hours!!! (how's that for a new countdown??) ;-)

Less than 2 weeks!!

Fiddlin' around again this morning. Actually, I didn't mean to do this, but somehow I got my default numbers off on image sizes last night and was determined to fix the problem so I started playin' around with this again. Don't know if it'll post right, if not, I'll have some work cut out for my "teacher" when she arrives for the wedding! I decided to make a page as a cover for a photo album for Amy's Bridal Showers! Isn't that fun?? Sofar, we have one guest that has had to cancel due to illness for tomorrows shower, but it's a GO!! We'll be sure to get many snaps of that for you Sandy! Wish you could be here when she opens...you know WHAT (or what not!!) tee-hee!
The figures in the picture are 2 little things Amy picked up at IKEA several years ago...just b/c they were CUTE! She got ready to pack them the other day and I grabbed them out of the pile so I could "dress them" as a centerpiece for her upcoming shower and rehearsal dinner. Might even use them at the wedding reception on a table somewhere! Anyhow...thought you'd like to get a sneek peek!
Everyone is almost healthy...just a few lingering "coughs and sniffles" but other than that, Amy's busy packing, I just made 2 big lasagne's to put in the freezer for lunch the day after the wedding and am in the process of making Sweet An.nies Hot Chicken Salad to take to the shower tomorrow night. Dinner for tonight to get in the oven and a couple calls to make yet today plus some ironing. My days are full....but my heart is overflowing with thanksgiving!!
Have a blessed day!

Just ONE more!

Amy's new Mama in law was sooo sweet to scan the paper that Carolyn used for the favor tissues and sent me the file! I couldn't let that rest until I did something with it, so I've been ponderin' and playin' around all morning! Yes, another wasted morning, but I feel happy and when I finish one of these pages, I almost get the feeling of having a full meal! After typing this wonderful devotion that Carolyn wrote, I'm thinkin' Dennis might not get that same feeling as I do so I'd better go scour up some grub! Her words have challenged me to be a better wife myself! Even after 32 years we still need to be reminded! Thanks my DEAR friends...you are very special to me! For those who read my blog but don't know Sandy...click on the link to the right and you can take a peek into her life! There you will find a terrific slide show of the shower with ALL the pictures! Enjoy!
P.S. Well, I just went back in to look at it and even if you enlarge it, you can't read the small font!! Too bad b/c it is worth the read! So...go to Sandy's page where she has it typed out in a font that is legible! Frustrating b/c it seriously took me ALL morning to do! Argh!

A "Mini-Couples Spice Shower"

As you can see...Sandy and I have been busy girls! (Brian and Amy have been thankful for that!) She's taught me everything I know about digital scrapbooking and I am having a ball! I promise to not make so many of these everyday, but my teacher made me do several to make sure I didn't have to call her everyday to get instructions. Now...if "mentalpause" will give me a break, I'll do fine!
