I'm a Blog Slacker!!

I've been lapse in blogging.  Seems "life" has taken over and sitting down with the computer to tell others about "our life" is not as interesting as I once thought.  Skype has prevailed.  Facebook has made it too convenient to share what needs to be said (and what doesn't need to be said!) in a much faster way than looking up my login and posting on this blog.  HOWEVER, I miss it.  I look at my friends blogs occasionally and just love feeling so "in-touch" with their families and all the "going's on" with you...so I am going to get back at it...probably after the first of the year.

Just to catch up on all that I've missed...

A belated Happy BD to Amy!  I didn't forget your BD...you know that since I Skyped with you that day!!

Happy belated BD sweet Rylie!!  I know you don't even read blogs so it's not likely that you even missed this lapse from Grammy Cheryl!!

Happy BD Brian!  I know you don't read my blog either...so you won't feel left out!

Happy BD Robin, Scott and Gabe.  Sheesh...we have a LOT of BD's in our family!!

I have a new grand daughter!!  And b/c I can't help myself...here is a little picture of her for those of you who want to see total sweetness!!

She was born November 23, 2012 after only 3 hrs. of labor for Allyson!  I was privileged to be her labor coach and witness the birth of this little lady...and I still marvel at God's plan of life...and how it comes to be!

And a quick up date on Dennis!  He is doing wonderfully!!  He's coming up on 6 months post chemo and has had 2 negative scans which means the cancer is staying dead!  We are coming up on another CT scan which will occur the first part of Feb. most likely, so we covet your prayers on another clean scan!  The biggest rate of relapse occurs in the first year, then the second year...then it jumps to 5 yrs. at which time he will be declared "cured".  We long for that time, yet we know that this means we will be 5 years older!  Ha!!  We pray that we will age graciously...but man...sometimes we whine.

I plan on doing a Christmas post as soon as I get my house in order.  I just spent a fun week with Kierstyn and Julian (my 2.5 yr. old nephew, son of Robin and Scott) and got NOTHING done but playing with them.  As it should be.

And to end this post...I just got a picture of our AZ kids the other day and for my aunts that aren't on FB....here is an updated picture of them.  Hopefully we'll get a snappy of our local's soon!  Having a baby delays pictures!

Here's the snappy!!
And oh...just one more since I had fun taking pictures and editing them last week.....

In the hustle and bustle of your Holiday season....don't forget the true reason we celebrate!!!

JESUS came to earth.

He died.

He rose.

He lives.
